Toms River Chapel

Today we attended Church at the Toms River Chapel. We met several new young single adults who we encouraged to attend Institute on Thursday evenings at Eatontown about 20 miles or 30-45 minutes commute.

(FYI: Toms River is about 90 minutes from our apt. We passed Six Flags, Fort Dix and McGuire AFB on the drive toward the Jersey Shore.)

Historical plaque found in lobby of Toms River building.

For years I've served in the Primary held at same time as Relief Society.
Today when the Toms River sisters stood and read this statement
of sisterhood and womanhood together, I got a little teary-eyed
thinking of all our potential in the eyes of God.
This brand new book was handed out by the Toms River
Bishop and Relief Society President today after our meetings.
It tells of the history and work of the Relief Society--the oldest
and largest women's organization in the world.
